A battery of Senior Advocates appeared in the Supreme Court today in the appeal filed by Monsanto against a verdict of Delhi High Court which had held that Monsanto Technologies’ patent claim on its Bt cotton seed varieties is unenforceable in India. The matter was heard by a Bench of Justices Rohinton Nariman and AM Sapre. Senior Advocates Mukul Rohatgi, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Neeraj Kishan Kaul and SN Mookerjee appeared for Monsanto.
