The Supreme Court has decided that it will allow non-accredited journalists to carry mobile phones inside the court rooms of Supreme Court. The decision was taken by the Chief Justice of India, Dipak Misra. The facility will be extended only to those journalists who have been issued six-month pass by the Court. The Deputy Registrar (Public Relations) will endorse the pass of the concerned journalist allowing her to carry mobile phones inside. The mobile phones have to be on silent mode.
