The Supreme Court Collegium headed by Chief Justice TS Thakur has cleared 24 names for appointment as judges to Madras High Court, reports The Asian Age. Out of the 24, 15 are practising lawyers while 9 are judges from subordinate judiciary. The lawyers are Bhavani Subbaroyan, AD Jagdish Chandra, Sathia Chandran, GR Swaminathan, Abdul Quddhose, M Dhandapani, PD Audikesavalu, V Parthiban, R Subrama-niam, M Govindaraj, M Sundar, R Sureshkumar, Nisha Banu, MS Ramesh, Anita Sumanth and SM Subramanaiam.
